I grow a variety called Sutherland kale, and it's great. It has lasted us through the winter, and 2 days ago we stripped half of the plants, blanched them, and froze them. Very good vegetable for making Caldo Verde soup.
The remnainder are flowering and I will let them go to seed, for next year's crop.
