Heck, if they'd won, there'd be a statue of them in every sizeable town south of the Mason Dixon line. If the Nazis had won, I doubt there'd be any statues of Adolf Eichmann standing around in town squares anywhere. He'd be unknown and forgotten...just like the uniformed flunkies who presently waterboard and otherwise torture Third World people for America and Israel will be unknown and forgotten.

Leonard Cohen makes a good point there. Ordinary people are   capable of doing terrible things when under terrible leadership. It could happen in your country too. Easily. If it does, you'll know it.
