Waking for a pee depends on the type of alcoholic drink you take. And, when you take it, of course. A minimal amount to get you to sleep is okay and far better than "sleeping pills" which can be addictive. And, yes, alcohol can be addictive but ceasing alcohol use if necessary is far more safe that ceasing sleeping medications. READ the protocol before taking any such drug!

There is another consideration re alcohol. It will dehydrate you and make morning bowl movements more "difficult". Over time, that can be yet one MORE problem to contend with. Proper diet and exercise is what I believe is best. Unfortunately, it's not always doable.
