My personal belief is that there is kernel of truth in both stories. No doubt his family was in danger. His cousin in a rural town was beaten up yesterday. But I also believe the Chinese offered some concessions to end an embarrassing stand off. Whether they will stick with them once Clinton is gone remains to be seen.
