You would think with all the recent spotlight on ethics in the media that they might have changed their ways, but no, the Sun has already started to belittle the new England football manager on the basis of a perceived speech impediment (one so minor that I for one hadn't even noticed it).

Perhaps they thought their readers wanted Harry Rednapp instead, even though in the last few months Tottenham have been sliding down the league (and getting slaughtered by Chelsea in the cup) while Hodgson's WBA have been climbing it.

Hodgson has been talked about as a possible England manager since the 1980's. It's farcical that it's taken the FA until now to give him a go (and wasting millions on Erikson and Capello in the meantime).

My main point is, though: when will the English wake up and realise that the prospects of the England team are being undermined in this way by a foreign-owned media which owes no allegiance to this country?
