This is a monumental moment. I listen closely to Lilly May Ledford do her thing and started picking up some of her haunting version of East Virginia. Its opened up a whole new world for me.

I'm now feeing more comfortable in saw mill tuning and playing House Carpenter with more feeling.

We pretended Guy was the fiddler and I backed his version of Soldier's Joy.


You know something, my visit with Guy has been truly magical. He is one of the most remarkable people I have ever met. Not only is he incredibly gifted with an enless stream of talent, he is a beautiful person with a warm loving nature and a heart of gold.

I think I'll stay here in Connecticut and have his family hire me on as the resident cook.
