BTW, Gn-ze... The idea that the blade acts as a big balancing flywheel ain't exactly correct... If it is balanced, then yeah, but I doubt if too many are... The engine should run smooth without it... Crank it up when you take the blade off and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how smooth it will run without the blade...

Back when I was racing VWs we had to balance everything that moved down to the crankshaft pulley...

BTW, be sure to take your bent blade with you to be sure that you are getting the correct replacement...
