Pete and Chris were touring at that time so seldom got to the Old Crown when I was there - it was mainly run by Mick Bramwich, Phil Cross, Dave Bruton, Mike Frost, and John and Sue Percy among others, some of whom I'm still in contact with. I'm trying Dave Hunt at the momemt, as he was occasionally there.
I really don't recall meeting/seeing Roy at clubs during my time there - that doesn't mean to say he wasn't there, of course - such is my memory for faces!
