One benefit of multiple personalities is that you can have a lot of people agree with you no matter how off the beam your world view may become. The gang has to stay more or less loyal to the driver, for fear the bus will go off the road if they fight too much. "If you kids don't settle down I swear I'll drive right over the edge here...". "Sure, Dad, okay, okay, we'll be good..."
