I think Frank may be referring to Raheen in County Limerick. He mentions his brother being killed in an ambush in one of the verses and there was a famous ambush in Raheen, Co. Limerick during the War of Independence July 1922 where the Anti-Treaty IRA ambushed the Free State Army.
