I did see it and felt the performance was good. But I also thought it was a shame to choose a much-covered modern song, rather than showcasing their wonderful collective talents with traditional material. In that sense I thought it was a missed opportunity to possibly win over an audience who may not touch "folk" with the proverbial barge pole.

But who am I to tell such luminaries what numbers to choose for national telly?
