I've got no strong opinion on this one, flattop. But, on the subject of "suicide"...it's an expression that people use for when someone deliberately takes his own life quickly<\b>...as in a few seconds or minutes of planned action.
But what about when people take their own life slowly, over a period of many years, by smoking, drinking, overeating, bad diet, lack of excercise, toxic emotional habits (such as hatred, vengefullness, bitterness, etc), and sheer stupid destructive lifestyle choices of every kind? Is that not suicide? I believe it is, and it is more common than grass. In fact, it is the rule, not the exception in this society. The vast majority of people these days die by suicide, as far as I'm concerned....slow suicide, that is. Look at how fast they age, and you will have a good set of clues on this matter.
