I have heard this chap mentioned, and a couple of cheerful songs of his being sung. If I remember it right, he was said to have written very many of them, between about the 1930s and 1970s. But there is hardly a whisper on Google. Have I spelt his name wrong ? Any suggestions would be welcome.
