I dont know much about tableture, but i will say this, most folk music is ironic by itself. I first heard K.R when i was listening to celtic connections, about fifteen years ago and she did a song with john mckusker, I think it was The wild goose. I bought the album sleepless, and you could tell it was going to be a hit, because it was obviously the culmination of hard work and musically it was okay.
In my opinion all folk music becomes boring after a point, because it tends to only have one or two meanings and doesnt translate well, into modern ,everyday life, in the same way pop music does.
If you ever see the comments on facebook, it must be really creepy, for her. For a start i dont think her voice has improved one iota, and lots of songs, now in the public domain are poor. Which makes you think possibly that she no longer cares where her career is headed.
Looking at the number of people who have viewed her songs on the whole, they obviously view her for her 'famous' telly songs etc, (about three)
They obviously arent interested in her other songs to any great extent
If you want my humble opinion there is a lot more this girl can do with her talents other than warble dreary laments, for sad gits to get cheesy about.
