I did the bulk of my working life in a home office setting. I had many of the problems described above. Luckily, I was very healthy - until I retired. Then all of a sudden I needed major surgery. Maybe I shouldn't have retired.

I am reminded, though, of Dave Barry's line: Something like "The good thing about working at home is that you don't have to get dressed until 4:30, when the pizza guy arrives with breakfast."

Not true, of course, if your work involves meeting with clients/patients/customers, unless they're VERY tolerant.
