I also work from home and have, on and off, a lot of my life. One of the first tings one must learn is that IT IS OK TO TURN THE WORK BRAIN OFF. You get to set up your own standards for what is really urgent.

One tool I use seldom but appreciate when I do use it is the auto-reply to emails-- when I fall off the map literally or figuratively, I construct the appropriate NON-APOLOGETIC auto-reply.

You might want to think about this when you get better, for "next time."
