Michael, instead of your method, try this: right-click on thread links, and select "open in new tab" or "open in new window." Then when you're done, close the tab or window and you're back to the Forum Menu. Using the "back" button routinely is usually not an efficient way to navigate a Website.

I clear the cache of my browsers about once a week. If I don't the browsers will have trouble with scripts and other complex actions. Trouble is, there's no one way to access the cache in all versions of all browsers - it's usually under "tools" or "options."

I run disc cleanup about once a month. Does disc cleanup clean the browser cache?

Whatever it is that I do, it means that I almost never lose my Mudcat cookie - I might lose it once a year, if that.
