When the Christian Democrats collapsed,in Italy,in '94,elections followed after a few months.One of my schoolmates,wandering around the pools,saw a very puzzled old lady storm out of her voting box cring: I can't find any Christian on the paper!!!My priest always told me to tick them!!!
Unfortunately,jokes like the one posted here worked on senior and religious citizens for around fifty years down that country,carefully spreaded around from clever people.
But anyway,I really wish people took THIS joke seriously on this last day...ehm...oops...
