I am brushing up on the lyrics of this song as I am going on a trip which will probably end up in a sing-song. I am amazed at the variations of the lyrics and even the name of the song which I have always known as "There's Gold in the Mountains". I do remember Val Doonigan singing it but was always aware that it's origins went much further back.
