Okay, here's the address:
Bethlehem Lutheran Church 52nd and Central Avenues Indianapolis
You might want to look at the society's website: http://www.iupui.edu/~cnl60/dulsoc/home.html
Whether you would call it "a traditional folksong club" is a matter of interpretation. Most members play instruments, but there is unaccompanied singing on occasion. Much but not all of the music is what I would call traditional.
The format of the meetings is as follows:
The first hour is what we call "show time". Only members of the organization may perform in this section. It's performance from a platform, with P.A. system.
The second hour of the session is jamming, in a large group. Sometimes there are also, in other rooms, workshops on various instruments or music genres.
The third hour is called "Sharing Circle". Everybody sitting in a circle, and each person (or small group) present has the opportunity to do something he/she/they may have on tap.
If you want more details you can ask me either here in the thread or by PMing me (DaveO).
