My day on Saturday ended with leaving Gramma's house many hours after I'd planned, stopping in to see if my brother's girlfriend was feeling better after her oral surgery the previous day, and making the snap decision that it had been way too long since I'd seen my step-mum and spending a pleasant hour with her. I got back home way too late, was way too wired on caffeine, and got absolutely no sleep between getting home at midnight and leaving for work at 7 AM. It was insanely busy at the park and being well-rested would have helped a bit, but it was all worth it. That point was driven home today when my boss got the news that his father passed away following emergency heart surgery this afternoon.
