Sadly it looks like I've been evicted from Mudcat by the Cookie Monster. The cache cleaaring option offered by Joe is applicable to a Mac but the other options are Win based so not usable.

I have disabled a couple of browser extensions that might have affected things and tested but they have been running for a log time with no previous problems with cookies nor have they been updated etc.

A Unix permissions repair has also been tried to no avail as has defragging but these are more random approaches. As noted above, it is clearly a browser issue across platforms which is of concern if there is no fix. Might look at one of my other machines and see if my cookie is alive there and then find the file and physically relocate it to the machine I'm using. At least then if it 'disappears' I can follow up why or what is making this happen.
