Well Still, I did post it, but to Facebook. It;s pretty damned exciting in respect to the possible implications. Consider, as an analogy, the first discovery of electrons in 1897 by J.J. Thompson. It took decades to turn that into vacuum tubes and radio receivers. Today, building on scores of new solid-state components, we can make the little buggers do all kinds of things. Suppose we began discovering that there really was a particle behind the generation of mass in space, and suppose (although it is a stretch) that we could learn to manage the intercession with the Higgs field that this implies.

Next thing you know, structure and mass aree coupled selectively. Acceleration of masses becomes child's play. The gigantic forces of the Saturn rockets are relegated to the same status as ox-carts and Egyptian slaves as ways of doing things. The door opens to the nullification of gravity and possibly near light speed travel.
