You can find a bunch of Bedouin music on YouTube--and don't worry about staying with "Public Domain", when you find something you like, all you need to do is write a note to the people who collected/recorded the material you want, and ask permission to use it. A lot of times, they'll be able to provide you with background, text, and translations.
