Regardless of the man's political leanings this is the short list of things I DREAM about a president SAYING/NOT SAYING, DOING/NOT DOING.
1. NEVER start a sentence with "The American people...", as in "The American people want/don't want..." 2. Refuse a photo-op or two--or three--or... 3. Angle for less celebrity, more governing--I don't want a king and I don't want to hear how every news story is affecting the president. 4. A weekly press conference. Ground rules--more answered questions, less speeches. The ability and allowance for the answer "I don't know right now, but I will find out and get back with you" and "I cannot answer that because it affects national security" and, "I will not answer that because THAT is none of the public's business thank you". 5. Replace inaugural ball (at least one of them) with Folk/Bluegrass concert.
Am I the only one with a wish list (non-political)?
