I was listening one day and he asked a fairly simple question about economics and said something along the lines of "can one person, just one person call up and give a reason why the Administration would do this."
Seemed simple enough. I called up and got the producer. She asked why I called I said "he asked for one simple reason. Here it is. Again, I don't remember, but it was one sentence and easy to elaborate on. She said, "We'll put you on." he went on for another half hour, not taking calls asking for a reason while I composed counters to objections he might have and explanations for his questions. Then he changed the subject. Then after waiting about 15 more minutes I hung up.
If my experience is anything to go on, Bortz is better than average among con(servative) talk show hosts at pretending to be fair.
