Everything the Tea Party movement is saying now and was in 2009 was said for years before that, by the same people. The only differences are the amount of funding and myth that it is a movement and from the grass roots.   

Its Armey's army plus Grover Norquest's people plus the AFR crowd plus Republican "true believers" who don't like the Party to compromise. Interestingly enough each group seems to have formed their own chapters of the Tea Party and they don't seem to intermingle.


It certainly is possible for someone to say Tea Party things long before the Tea Party "officially" formed.
