There are few percieved problems with written english which cannot be resolved by restating.
(Attributed to) Churchill: Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put!" This, to avoid ending a sentence with "I will not put up with" He clearly used this just to make a point about tortuous use of language. He could have easily said: "Ending a sentence with a preposition is somethich which I will not tolerate." But this would not have emphasised the point nearly so well.
