Last night as I walked through the house doing this and that, I found I was hard on the trail of a morganus nepos...an ON flashlight on the floor pointing under the bed from an earlier foray whilst looking for the new 7 mo. kitten who'd done a Houdini on us; long internet cable left draped across the kitchen floor to where he had his laptop set up earlier; another OFF flashlight on the floor pointing to under the sofa. A couple of other small things. He's usually more careful. Yesterday he was in a rush to go home for a special treat/surprise.
This morning, "Little One" (working title) is showing more of her subtle Siamese personality. Every morning since we got her a week ago Wednesday, she has spent the whole morning and a lot of the afternoon on our bed asleep...safe from dogs. Not anymore. She has those dogs scattering when she charges them out of nowhere. There are intervals where everyone sits around just looking, then someone moves and she goes like a streak of lightning. I predict the right name coming to us very soon now.
