Rap ~~ Yes, true enough, so they were ~ or if not quite so literally so, nobody is blameless, all with their shares of Highland Clearances & Jallianwalla & whatever. But they are not all so self-righteous & conceited and wilfully self-blinding about it. I always think it hilarious that the man who drafted your Constitution actually owned slaves himself, & couldn't see the contradictions in his "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, blah blah blah...life liberty & the pursuit of happiness". Oh, yay, I bet Jefferson's slaves were all happily at liberty!
