I saw my muse in a vision the other night.
Her hair was long and tangled, her dress a terrible sight
Dishevelled and dreary, she turned to me and smiled
A tenuous "are we okay?" smile, asking to come back.

I knew she'd gone but not so close. Seems, you see,
She was there in my heart all along, I just needed the key
Intangible, elusive, golden, glowing, a one of a kind
I may have found it...tarnished and buried, ready for a good polishing.
