I'm glad. She probably still wants to hear that she's not considered a nut case. I've heard old people say, "They took away his car keys..." in a voice that means "This is the beginning of the end."

Last November we took away my father-in-law's keys. He felt angry and absolutely terrible. In January he died of sudden-onset Alzheimer's.
