If bombers and other criminals can use the internet to plan and conduct their crimes, why is it wrong to waylay them or convict them using the same Internet?

I was dismayed by Facebook's invasion of my privacy. I signed up, and up popped pictures of my friends. "Look at the people you know who are already on Facebook!" they crowed. I can only assume that Facebook somehow got around my password and read the Address Book on my e-mail program.

I sent a message to an author and closed my FB account ten minutes later. For one thing, my financial advisor's name is in my e-mail program. I certainly don't want FB employees finding out where I have my accounts.
