Ah, sorry about missing a couple of days. Thanks for the lift, maeve.:-)

Not a poem, just a little bit of what's going on...yesterday, my youngest, Morgan's mom, turned 35 which is unbelievable to me. It was also Woody Guthrie's birthday and Bastille Day.

Ever since we got the new Siamese kitten, a little over two weeks ago I've been searching for the right name. As she showed us more and more of her personality several came to mind, but never felt just right. An old Siamese male we had who was very special to me was named Heyokah, after the Trickster in Native American lore. He was the one who would do everything backwards to make us laugh and show us how silly we could be when fretting, etc. My Heyo always made me laugh.

Anyway, since getting her, I've found myself slipping and calling for our now-time Siamese male, Kipling, by Heyokah's name. Heyo has been so much on my mind since she came into the house. So, my daughter back East sent me one today which is Native American for "little one/girl" which is what I've been calling her, a lot. That name was Ayasha. I took that and added a bit to it and came up with Heyasha (hay AH shaw)...she loves it and is already responding to it. It's nothing I would have ever guessed and I have never taken this long or had this much trouble naming a cat, but she is very special.:-)
