I'll go in a few days if I have time, not that it will make any difference!

The surface may have dried out but the underlying ground is still very damp - the risk is that any substantial rain may have more impact than in a 'normal' year because it will be falling on what will still be compromised ground. If I didn't live here I'd head for the high ground on Field 2, and avoid the possible swamp in Field 1.

It would save a lot of tramping about if the organisers provided a water tap at the top of field 2 half the way along - shouldn't be too difficult to arrange once vehicle movements have been banned for the week! They may do so already - can't say I've looked........
