Yes quite correct Les the Shanty Session in the Endeavour for the RNLI and yours in fact their have been times in the past when a second session has started up at the other end of the Room in the Endeavour. The Station Family Front Room organized and with a door that closes but what was the No Smoking Front room sessions and the Main Room are not. Some of the time organized session has taken place in the Fleece organized by Whitby Folk Week these were run by Coblers Monday and on the Balcony they then moved to the Friendship Rowing Club the Home of the Whitby Folk Club. What the arrangements are this year as Folk Week Clashes with the Regatta I don't know. However Mick and Angie Haywood usual Folk Club Night will probably take place in the upstairs concert room proceeds to the RNLI is a good bet. First in Last out organized? Is it a tea time session that you run in the Endeavour, with Maggie, Les? Is the Bottom House still hosting Session?

My advice is to start of at the Duke of York and have some food then call in at The Board next door then the Friendship Rowing Club your next call should be the Fisher Lads and then the Shambles. Don't miss having a pint in the Black Horse then it's a short stagger to the Dolphin then up Grape Lane to the Endeavour a drop of Tetley's in the Fleece with two rooms and a Balcony to sing in. After that you can fight your way into the Middle Earth two rooms to sing in and the Road and or Pavement outside. If you are able head up to the Bottom house for a couple of Pints before staggering back down Church Street. You have now completed the Church Street Run and to celebrate a fine evening wibble and wobble your way over the swing bridge avoiding, sadly, The Plough to The Station Inn which is open till 2am during Folk Week. Remember to be polite to the bar staff it's a long hard week for them don't stand in front of the serving hatches and return your glasses to the bar and get out of the way of staff who are trying to restock the bar. All you have to do on day two is sit on Tate Hill Sands in the sunshine trying to remember just were you left your Wife, Teeth and Glasses last night! But I know you will smile when you realize that someone is bound to write a song about your escapades. But only if you survive the whole week of Folk in Whitby.
