I thought there had already been a thread on this topic but I couldn't find it.
Anyway, the double cd has been released of the music from the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
If I've read correctly, there is no English, Scottish, Welsh folksong/folk melody to be found on the album.
"Danny Boy" pops up representing N.Ireland ( the tune is trad but the lyrics were written about 100 yrs ago ).
Ironically, I bet there was a pile of trad Chinese songs to be heard four years ago!
