Alex -- you've nailed (so to speak) a pretty good prescription for life there -- good food, good music, good sex, good friends -- and of course a fabulous family (with a broad definition of that term).

Ok, here's a recipe for cookies that are not all that fattening, and not hugely cholesterol-laden, though of course you can make them so by adding more and bigger chocolate chips and walnuts. My kids love these cookies, and they're my current favorites:
Cloud Nine Cookies: Non-stick cooking spray
flour for dusting
3 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips (can use large chips for chocolate-ier effect
1/2 cup or more chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 250F. Line two cookie sheets with foil; coat foil with nonstick cooking spray, then lightly dust with flour.

In a large bowl, beat egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks form. Mix in sugar one tablespoon at a time. Stir cocoa powder over mixture. With a rubber spatula, fold in chocolate chips and nuts. (this will make the chocolate sort of swirly throughout, so don't try to carefully mix in the cocoa powder)

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared foil. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until crisp. Let cool on cookie sheets for two minutes. Transfer carefully to wire racks to cool completely.

Make more. You'll want them.

These are great to take to holiday parties, too. Light and fun and festive. (Like me.)
