My birthday on Monday was better than I had expected, with an early morning dawn chorus of birds, a few hours in the burgeoning vegetable garden,time with my mother, and a lovely outing with my own Truelove. It closed with the Big Dipper showing through our bedroom window and the quiet song of a thrush.
