It was a homage to British popular music and on the whole I thought it came off well with a fair selection of the great and the good over the last 50 odd years. Not all to my taste (ie Fat Boy Slim and the rappers and then the Spices) but then again why should I expect it to be all to my taste and there was plenty there apart from that. Seemed to be a problem with the mix on one or two of the acts. In the Madness section the vocals seemed to be too much to the front whilst some others they were kind of too far back! Wonder how it sounded in the stadium itself?
