I thought that the thing went on just a bit too long, but I suppose it is justified on an occasion like this.

Didn't think Madness came over well and I guess after about a 100 times of singing " Our house, In the middle of our street our house and on and on....we got the drift.

Enjoyed Elbow, and like others here I was surprised that I managed to even like The Spice Girls but it was suitably short.

Some of the backing singing and choral music was great and Eric Idle came over well.

The Who and Queen ( even with Jesse J ) were outstanding and for me capped an enjoyable evening.

The audience in the stadium and all the athletes appeared to enjoy it all.
