Thread Name: Folk & Roots event at Hessle Town Hall-8 Sept
Subject: Folk & Roots event at Hessle Town Hall
Off The Road events is proud to present a special evening of folk, blues and roots on Sat 8th September at Hessle Town Hall, Hull.

We're very excited about this one!

Featuring HASE WAITS, Hessle's very own folk/world music dance band, with a whole array of exotic instruments...

BEGGAR'S BRIDGE hail from Hull and bring their own original take on the traditional folk genre with self-penned tales of East Yorkshire folklore:

PAULA RYAN comes all the way from Tipperary, Ireland, and is a critically-acclaimed and much-travelled Celtic singer/songwriter:

LINDSEY SIMPSON is Hull's young acoustic upstart, whose musicianship (and knowledge of the Blues in particular!) belies his tender years:

Tickets for this unique event are available in advance via (link below) priced at £5. Admission will be available on the door(space permitting) at £6, so save yourselves a whole quid by buying in advance, eh?

Note - if this event is a success, which we are sure it will be, then we will be promoting further shows at Hessle Town Hall, with folk acts from further afield as well as the local area. Support live music in the East Riding - come down and join us for a great evening of folk and roots! Starts at 8pm.
