As old as you say it is, it is almost certainly dust in the cooling duct. Clean them out with the computer turned off. Then blow as much air as you can through the system to get the schmutz you cannot get manually.

Oh, yeah, you only get up to 30 inches of mercury with vacuum. there are not real limits with a blower.
