I hung onto the excellent final revision of Nero 5 on XP for years,
totally ignoring Nero 6 & Nero 7 which gained increasingly negative reputation on AV forums
for being bloated and problem ridden.

Only reason I stopped using it and discovered freeware Imgburn as a good replacement
was due to purchasing a new Win XP PC
which was factory fitted with a newer technology DVD burner that Nero 5 did not support.
That PC is now updated to Win 7.

I was in the habit of burning many Discs per week;
but over the last couple of years
due to cheap USB memory sticks and digital file AV players,
I rarely need burn more than one disc every couple of months.
