Good peaches & cream corn (same kinda stuff) is to be enjoyed without anything on it. I don't buy the cobs... too expensive. The frozen corn is usually just as good if you use it well before the due date and BARELY cook it.

Cooked a chicken dinner last night and the veggies were deeeelicious! The new spuds, butternut squash, carrots and turnip were soooo good with NO salt, pepper, butter.

BTW, I dunno about where youse all are but I am loading up on everything from soup to nuts. Long grain rice from US just went up $0.125/Kg. I could cite more than a dozen items other than various grains but when I see grain prices jumping I get jumpy. I loaded up on chicken, pork sirloin, round and cross rib beef all at $2 a pound on accounta I figure that will at least double in the next thirty days. I am freezing cherriesssss galore. I figure that spending $100 now will save me at least $10 over the next 6 months. That's a good ROI these days.
