DT version gives "Norah's" rather than "Noah's"; and that was how I first learned it - from Sandy Paton when he was over here in late 50s iirc.

Did 'Dink' actually sing it with that central 'r', and is that how Lomax recorded it? - or in light of story above of how he broke the cylinder & recreated it from memory, how he remembered it?

And are there any other songs in which the name of the ark-builder is thus rendered?

That variant doesn't seem to appear on any version above on this thread, but is that perhaps how it should appear? I don't have to hand any of the books ref'd above, to check how they render the name.
