R.I.P. He was the one who 'boldly went where no man had gone before'. I stayed up to watch it (via early satellite link) on the BBC. Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon in the early hours of 21 July 1969. The pictures were 'grainy' but they gave memories to last a lifetime.
