Talk of "natural work" and "magic" makes me think of songs such as "John Barleycorn" and "Herrings Heads", in that they both describe man's symbiotic relationship with nature/the universe in terms that are simultaneously magical but day-to-day and work-related. They are magical but indefatigably worldly and materialist. Look up the words to those two and you'll probably see what I mean. The celebrate the infinite plasticity of the imagination at the same time as they celebrate manual labour and the natural world.
