This is a stock mantra that the Right Wing uses about FDR. And it's a blatant lie!
The Depression was well over by the late 1930s.
I was a kid, but I was THERE, dammit, and I remember quite well!
And THEN (1941), the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
Anyone who repeats this "Roosevelt ended the Depression by starting World War II" canard is either ignorant of history or is deliberately trying to deceive, i.e, either an ignoramus or a liar.
