the right have sat on their hands while the elite financialized the economy so that the financial sector now runs everything. the tail waves the dog. they just screwed the pooch with the collapse and many americans are right now doubling down on the same guys who screwed the nation. that's what the tea party and the other delusional kooks are doing. i hesitate to call them right wing because in my youth there were real right wingers who believed in balanced budgets and controlling the money supply, these guys believe in fairy tale solutions.

moreover the american right do seem to cheer at the assassination of any moderate leader, and i say moderate as there is no left wing in the usa--get real. real left wing governments nationalize banks when they bail them pout and nationalize essential industries like oil etc. the right are the gun nuts almost to a man.
